A peaceful protest sends a strong message to TISD that we do not agree with their decision to build an Intermediate School at the TIC. Below are the logistical details for November 13th and 14th and a few things to keep in mind. We will be pretesting rain or shine!
Be sure to show up, the more of us that are in attendance, the louder our voice will be!
Location, Parking, and Times
- We will be protesting at the Tomball ISD Administration Building located at 310 S Cherry Street, Tomball, TX 77375.
- Refer to the map for available parking locations.
- Protest times will be from 8 am to 10 am and 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm both days, this allows you to get your kids to school at 10:30 am after attendance is taken.
What to Bring
- Bring your kids!
- Protest signs communicating a clean message on how we oppose the intermediate school at TIC. Crisp and short sayings are better than long phrases. Examples of good messages for protest signs are on the website.
- Wear a blue shirt - Blue is our color to unify during this protest.
- Comfortable shoes.
- Raincoat or umbrella in case it rains.
- Water to stay hydrated.
What to Do
- Protest in the Parking Lot of the Administration Building, we have approval from the Tomball Police Department.
- Arrive early, we will start the first protest at 8am on Monday November 13th and we want the Administration to see us as they arrive.
- Keep the messages PG, kids will be in attendance.
- Be loud and be heard.
What NOT to Do
- Block traffic or sidewalks.
- Destroy any property.
- Use profanity or vulgar language, our message will be more impactful without profane distractions.
